The Role

Reporting directly to the Production Supervisor, you will play a key role in the fabrication of precision-engineered components by operating and setting CNC press brake machinery.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Set up and operate CNC press brakes in accordance with engineering drawings and specifications
  • Fabricate high-quality components using standard punches and dies
  • Read and accurately interpret technical drawings and work instructions
  • Inspect finished parts using verniers, calipers, and other precision measuring equipment
  • Make adjustments as required to ensure components meet specification
  • Maintain machinery and equipment to ensure optimal performance
  • Keep your work area clean, organised, and compliant with health and safety requirements
  • Support company quality objectives and ISO 9001:2015 standards

 

What We're Looking For

Essential Skills & Attributes

  • Previous experience operating press brake machinery within a manufacturing environment
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings
  • Experience using measuring equipment including verniers and calipers
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
  • Positive attitude with a proactive, problem-solving approach
  • Ability to work efficiently under pressure and meet production targets
  • Good communication skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a team
  • Reliable, motivated, and committed to delivering high standards

 

Experience Required

  • Minimum 1 year's experience in a manufacturing environment

Main Duties

  • Slicing and packing bacon products
  • Maintaining high standards of cleanliness and hygiene

  • Assisting with stock movement and occasional heavy lifting
  • Working efficiently in a chilled/cold environment
