We are seeking a Community Centre Supervisor to join our team on a part-time, evening basis. π― Responsibilities
As a Community Centre Supervisor, hereβs what your duties will include:

Supervise access to the centre and its surroundings, ensuring a safe and welcoming environment.
- π Respond to inquiries from community groups and the public via phone, email, or in person.
- ποΈ Manage booking requests, issue receipts, and handle cash securely.
- πͺ Oversee the setup and maintenance of equipment and furniture for events and activities.
- ποΈ Act as the main key-holder, responsible for opening, closing, and responding to call-outs.
- π§― Conduct health and safety checks, including fire log procedures and equipment certifications.
- π Maintain accurate records, reports, and official documentation.
- π Supervise and manage assistant supervisors, temporary, and agency staff.
- π§Ή Ensure the centre is clean, hygienic, and well-maintained, including minor repairs and graffiti removal.
- β Support hospitality arrangements and contribute to the delivery of the community support plan.
- π€ Uphold council policies, including customer care, equal opportunities, health and safety, and child protection.
βοΈ Qualifications
To be successful in this role, you must meet the following criteria:
π Essential Experience
- At least six months of relevant experience in:
- Operating facilities in a supervisory capacity, including health and safety procedures, cleaning, maintenance, and administrative duties. π§°β
- Dealing with members of the public. π£οΈ

Day-to-Day Schedule
Hereβs what your typical evening might look like:
- ποΈ Opening and closing the centre.
- πͺ Setting up rooms and equipment for community activities.
- π Greeting and assisting visitors, ensuring their needs are met.
- π Supervising staff and ensuring cleaning and maintenance tasks are completed.
- π Handling booking requests and maintaining accurate records.
- π Conducting health and safety checks to ensure a secure environment.
Working Hours:
- Monday to Thursday: 6:00 PM β 10:00 PM π
- Friday: 6:00 PM β 9:30 PM π
