As a Business Support Officer, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth day-to-day operation of our services by providing comprehensive administrative and business support to colleagues, customers and stakeholders. You will be part of a professional team committed to delivering efficient, responsive and customer-focused services to our communities.
What You'll Be Doing
Your responsibilities will include:
- Providing comprehensive administrative and secretarial support to Council officers.
- Acting as a key point of contact for customers, colleagues and external organisations.
- Delivering excellent customer service, including reception duties and responding to enquiries and complaints.
- Processing applications, correspondence and system transactions accurately and efficiently.
- Maintaining electronic and manual records, filing systems and document management processes.
- Organising meetings, preparing agendas, taking minutes and following up on agreed actions.
- Supporting financial administration, including processing invoices, receipts, payments and budget records.
- Managing booking and requisition systems.
- Assisting with departmental projects, events and service improvements.
- Supporting the implementation and continuous improvement of business support systems and quality processes.
- Working collaboratively across departments to provide flexible business support where required.

- Has strong communication skills, both written and verbal.

- Is proficient in Microsoft Office and other computerised business systems.

- Is adaptable, proactive and committed to continuous improvement.
